3rd Caritas Europa Management Forum
|
“The Church's charitable organisations, beginning with those of Caritas (at diocesan, national and international levels), ought to do everything in their power to provide the resources and, above all, the personnel needed for this work… [I]n addition to their necessary professional training, these charity workers need a “formation of the heart” - Encyclical Letter, Deus Caritas Est, Of The Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI, 25.12.2005.

Brussels, 22 September 2008 - Hosted by Caritas The Forum gathered chief executives and managers from 22 Caritas Europa member organisations across Major inputs in the program included presentations on “The Spirituality of Professionalism”, “Management Models” and “What does Deus Caritas Est and Canon Law say about Caritas?”. This year’s Management Forum also provided participants with a space for theological reflection that allowed them to establish a dialogue on different concepts of organising Caritas organisations, as well as on Minimum Management Standards (MMS). The Forum was significant in that much consensus was reached about the inseparability of Caritas spirituality, the commitment to MMS and their implementation down to the diocesan level. Caritas Europa and all participants were very greatful to Caritas Hungary for their professionalism and warm hospitality. |
